The world's best snowboarders and freeskiers in the Olympic discipline of Big Air will be competing for medals at a site steeped in sporting history. The site chosen was the Olympic ski jump in St. Moritz, which was demolished in 2014.

The site is ideally accessible on foot from St. Moritz and by public transport, and the space available is ideal for a crowd of over 5,000 spectators. In addition, the wind-protected site is located almost exactly in the middle between the two other venues, the Corviglia and the Corvatsch. The natural slope favours the resource-saving construction of a temporary big-air facility, which is largely made of snow.
