A big plus for the Engadin

The first plus-energy hotel in the Alps has been built on Muottas Muragl! What do you do when there is an old, convoluted hotel in one of the most beautiful and popular places in the Engadine that no longer allows for optimal operations? That consumes 40,000 litres of heating oil every year, which has to be transported to 2,500 m above sea level in a dangerous and risky way? And that in a region with 320 days of sunshine a year, where the heating period is 365 days?
