Athlete's Summer: Nalu Nussbaum

We want to know: How do the freestyle athletes train in summer? Where do they spend their time?   Our freestyle up-and-coming talent Nalu Nussbaum reveals it to us.

Your typical day during summer training?

For me, the day starts with a good breakfast: avocado and eggs with a piece of bread. After that, I go on the airbag for two to three hours, depending on how much energy I have. At the moment I'm also in the sports military, where I spend a lot of time in the gym. Apart from that, my daily routine also depends on where I am. For example, I often travel with the team to Scharnitz or Leysin to train on the airbag.

Your free time off the skis?

In my free time, I like to do sports, preferably anything that involves a board: skateboarding, windsurfing, surfing and wingsurfing are some of my favourite summer activities. I always have to keep moving, so in summer I enjoy playing beach volleyball or cycling.

Your favourite Engadin spot in summer?

The new freestyle garden at Fresk. I can practise and train many of my freestyle activities there. I also like the atmosphere with the music and the many people who love freestyle like I do.
