Big Air by Night, Snowboard Cross by Day: Spectacular Competitions and Exciting Atmosphere

Another thrilling day at the 2025 FIS Freestyle World Championships comes to an end. Spectators experienced spectacular moments and breathtaking performances live on-site – the Snowboard Big Air Finals and the Snowboard Cross Finals provided pure action.

Big Air
The Big Air Finals at night offered a spectacular show with a special backdrop. Under the bright floodlights, the athletes showcased stunning tricks and fought for the coveted medals. Particularly impressive was Kokomo Murase, who claimed victory in the women's competition, followed by her teammates Reira Iwabuchi and Mari Fukada, who completed the all-Japanese podium. In the men's competition, Ryoma Kimata triumphed, just ahead of Taiga Hasegawa, while Oliver Martin from the USA secured third place.

“I am overjoyed with my first place in Big Air,” said the newly crowned world champion of the discipline.

Snowboard Cross
At noon, the best riders took to the Snowboard Cross course and delivered thrilling duels. Spectators enjoyed exciting action as the athletes raced at top speed and used tactical skill on the course. In the women’s event, Michela Moioli from Italy took gold. The silver medal went to Charlotte Bankes from Great Britain, and the bronze to Julia Pereira de Sousa from France. In the men’s event, Eliot Grondin from Canada claimed victory, followed by Loan Bozzolo from France and Alessandro Hämmerle from Austria.

“The race was very exciting, with many overtakes and great duels,” said Snowboard Cross world champion Eliot Grondin from Canada.

Festival
Musically, the festival site also became a hotspot: JULE X, SDP, and FiNCH brought energetic performances that created a lively atmosphere at the Olympic Ski Jump.
