Excitement and High Intensity on Corviglia Despite Unstable Weather

Despite unstable weather conditions, which fluctuated throughout the day between sunshine, dense fog, and occasional snow showers, all competitions were held under fair conditions. Thanks to excellent slope preparation and targeted adjustments to the race schedule, it was ensured that all athletes had comparable conditions.
Skicross Mixed
A Swiss triumph in today’s Skicross Mixed race: Following their successes on Friday, Fanny Smith and Ryan Regez secured another gold medal. The French duo of Melvin Tchiknavorian and Jade Grillet Aubert finished second, while Italy’s Jole Galli and Jannik Gunsch took third place.
“It was a tough journey – my second ACL injury was extremely difficult, both physically and mentally. That makes it even more incredible to overcome this challenge and win two medals at a home World Championship”, said Ryan Regez.
Parallel Slalom
In a thrilling men’s final, Bulgaria’s Tevel Zamfirov defeated his Austrian rival Arvid Auner to claim the gold medal. The Italian Aaron March took third place. In the women’s competition, Japan’s Miki Tsubaki secured first place, followed by Czech rider Ester Ledecka, who had already won gold in the Parallel Giant Slalom on Thursday. The bronze medal went to the Netherlands’ Michelle Dekker.
