Highlights of the first week

Despite some weather challenges, the competitions were nothing short of spectacular– full of emotional victories and incredible moments for the fans.

The action kicked off on March 19 with the Moguls competitions – and what an opening it was! Japan’s Ikuma Horishima delivered an outstanding performance, securing gold in the men's event. On the women's side, France’s Perrine Laffont was unstoppable, dominating the competition. The moguls course at Corviglia/Alp Giop demanded everything from the athletes – and they delivered with impressive runs!

The PGS Finals on March 20 featured thrilling duels. Czech rider Ester Ledecka dominated the women’s competition, while Italy’s Roland Fischnaller secured the men’s title. The enthusiastic crowd at Corviglia cheered on the athletes and experienced the nail-biting finishes up close.

March 21 was an unforgettable 'Super Friday'! Three gold medals for the Swiss team sparked excitement: Fanny Smith triumphed in women’s ski cross, Ryan Regez won the men’s event, and Mathilde Gremaud claimed the title in Freeski Slopestyle. The energy at Corviglia and Corvatsch was absolutely electric!

Another highlight followed on March 23: In the Mixed Team Snowboard Parallel Slalom, the Italian duo Elisa Caffont and Maurizio Bormolini claimed gold with a sensational run. Italy also took silver, while the Austrian team secured bronze. What an exciting competition!

And it wasn’t just about the action on the slopes. The weekend also brought a true spectacle off the course: Stress, Milky Chance, Royal Republic, Sam Feldt, Bennett, and various national acts turned the festival grounds into a lively party atmosphere.

The first week of the Freestyle World Championships was a huge success! Spectacular tricks, thrilling races, and emotional victory ceremonies defined the competitions. And with the incredible side events over the weekend, it’s clear: the Freestyle World Championships are not just a sporting highlight but a true festival of passion and excitement.
