It has been 90 years since the Corviglia ski area near St. Moritz first served as the venue for a major ski event.
After the first edition in 1934, the second World Championship races followed as part of the 1948 Winter Olympics. Exactly 50 years ago, the third World Championships took place on the Corviglia in 1974, the fourth in 2003 and the fifth and so far last in 2017. St. Moritz has also established itself as a fixed date in the women's skiing World Cup calendar. To celebrate various anniversaries and the 2025 Freestyle World Championships, the St. Moritz Design Gallery is dedicating a separate exhibition to the impressive sports history of St. Moritz and its local mountain, the Corviglia, between December 2024 and April 2025. A timeless picture gallery is also being created in the Salastrains finish house, presenting the history and present of the Corviglia. More information about the St. Moritz Design Gallery
