Moguls
Corviglia / Alp Giop, St. Moritz
On a steep piste filled with bumps (moguls), freestyle skiers race as fast as possible to the finish line while performing spectacular tricks over two jumps. They demonstrate their skiing technique and body control. Judging is based on the speed of the run, the technique displayed on the mogul course, and the execution of the tricks performed in the two jump sections.

Preliminary Rounds
120 athletes in 60 matchups, 1 run. The top 16 qualify for the finals.
1/4-Finals
32 athletes in 16 matchups, 1 run. The knockout system is used for scoring. The winners of each matchup qualify for the semi-finals. The others are eliminated.
Semi-Finals
16 athletes in 8 matchups, 1 run. The knockout system is used for scoring. The winners of each matchup qualify for the finals. The others compete in the small final.
Finals (Big & Small)
4 athletes in 2 matchups, 1 run. The losers of the semi-finals compete in the small final for 3rd place, while the winners advance to the big final for the win.
Corviglia / Salastrains / Tschainas / Alp Giop, St. Moritz
The competition area for Moguls and Dual Moguls is located along the Salastrains chairlift, in the segment between Tschainas (start area) and Alp Giop (finish area).
Access is via the Munt da San Murezzan mountain station, which can be reached by the Signal cable car from St. Moritz Bad or by the Salastrains chairlift from Salastrains.
The Salastrains station is served on certain days by the FIS Freestyle World Championships shuttles (see schedule).
The competitions can be freely observed with skis or snowboards along the competition area (Corviglia Run Piste).
A ski pass is required to use the mountain lifts.
With non-slip footwear and motivation, the finish area (Alp Giop) can be reached from the Signalbahn mountain station in approximately 20 minutes – or via Winter Hiking Trail No. 6 from Salastrains in about 30 minutes from the bottom.
The start area at Tschainas cannot be reached on foot.
The walk from St. Moritz to Salastrains takes about 30 minutes. From the mountain station of the Chantarellabahn, Salastrains is reachable in a 15-minute walk.
A pedestrian ticket for Zone 1 is required for the Signalbahn or Chantarella Cable Car.
